My Madison

My sister Madison is a moderate mentally disabled person and is 22 years old. She is the sweetest girl in the world and I couldn't be more proud to be her sister. We are truly blessed to have her in our lives. I want to say to anyone one who struggles with being a caregiver to a mentally challenged person that I know it can be very difficult at times but the older they get the more you appreciate the fact that god blessed them in your life!

From the editor:
How very nice to hear from you!

It is so encouraging to hear a good word from a family member of someone with special needs.

As a caregiver myself, I know how easy it is to be overcome with the daily workload and frustrations.

Your post is a good reminder that we also benefit greatly. After all, a caregiver job description isn't all about work!

Thanks for taking the time post.
