In pain due to Fibromyalgia

I found out I was bipolar when I was a teen, I learned to cope without treatment and am working.

For a while now I been having trouble working due to depression from finding out I have I.B.S. and Fibromyalgia. So when I am at work im always sick and in a lot of pain always.

I've missed a lot of work and am close to losing my job. Some days I cant get out of bed, but I do to pay the bills. I'm losing control and I can no longer take the pain and the stress.

Do you think I am able to receive disability?

Editor's Note:
Hi, I am so sorry to hear that you are suffering in so much pain. That is very difficult to deal with on its own. Fibromyalgia is also a difficult thing to treat as well, though some people claim successful treatment.

If you are looking for disability tax credits, or perhaps social security disability payments, it will depend entirely on the services available in your location. Support for Fibromyalgia differs considerably by region.

In Canada, for instance, disability tax credits do not depend on a specific diagnosis, but rather on the impact of the symptoms on quality of life.

For information about social security and Fibromyalgia, you may find you need a lawyer.

Although Fibromyalgia is now recognized for SSI, it is an area that can really benefit from expertise, so find a lawyer that is familiar with this type of disability, and with dealing with claims from your area.

Hope that helps!
