toilet training child with William's Syndrome

I work with a child with William's syndrome who is 6 years old and is not yet toilet trained.

Do you have any tips to get this accomplished that may be more helpful than typical toilet training?

Patience...
by: Tom Wolfe

I can't really offer any tips but I can offer encouragement. Our daughter with Williams Syndrome just took a long time. The longest was wetting the bed. In both cases she just grew tired of wearing the diaper and stopped one day and never looked back. She often holds it until the last minute these days but accidents rarely happen - can't remember the last time. My daughter is 14 now.
