My child had to be hospitalized for 5 months

Yes, My son was violent and I got him the help he needed, it was a very sad traumatizing experience but in the end I think it was for the best. My son went into "wrap around care" at age 14, he is now 17 and has been home for almost 3 years, it's still not easy, but I have the right medication in place to a least make it more bearable to have him live in the home. This recent story about Adam Lanza, age 20 who gunned down 20 elementary school kids and the allegation that he had a personality disorder or some type of Autism makes me very angry. The kids with Autism that I know including my son, can hardly function let alone premeditate carrying out and execute a mass murder...
As someone that's experienced violent behavior from someone with Autism, I can say 1.) the violence was ALWAYS reactive. 2.)Mostly self injurious in nature. and 3.)with help my son improved. My child like most kids like this, he are not capable of anything like what Adam Lanza did in Connecticut.
Thank you.
